HerpXotics vivariums are high quality PVC enclosures that have been designed to last. Plastic vivaria have much longer lifespans than more commonly seen wooden types. All HerpXotics vivariums are built from black or white 13mm PVC-U plastic foam with sliding doors made of 4mm toughened glass. These units are all made to order in the UK using a CNC machine, these machines ensure all edges are neat and smooth.
Plastic vivariums last forever, their solid material is fire and UV resistant and has excellent insulating properties, maintaining a more stable environment for your reptiles. They are incredibly water resistant and unlike wood will never rot, which makes them ideal for species that require high levels of humidity like Green Tree Pythons, Emerald Tree Boas and Tree Monitors. If sealed with a reptile-safe silicon (such as aquarium sealant) then they won’t leak allowing them to be used for bioactive planted setups.
HerpXotics vivariums have a unique ventilation system; a series of small holes are drilled directly into the vivarium’s meaning no plastic vents that animals can not push out and escape. Available in horizontally orientated Terrestrial designs or the vertically orientated arboreal designs for climbing species.
All enclosures 1200mm long or longer, have a central plinth machined into the design. This makes the vivarium stronger with no sagging or bending at the front; making stacking easy and stress-free. Extremely large vivariums, such as the 240 x 120 x 120 cm model, are manufactured in separate pieces with multiple sets of sliding doors, this is to make them easier to transport.
All HerpXotics Vivariums are available in black or white. Please note that black vivariums are a soft faced material and can mark easily if not careful.
